Hi, I’m Ashley.

I’m an Arkansas artist creating original paintings inspired by the landscapes, gardens, colors, and memories of the South. My work is rooted in a love of home and the places and moments that stay with us.

I grew up as a farmer’s daughter in the Grand Prairie, surrounded by rice fields, the White River, changing skies, wildflowers, and the quiet beauty of rural life. That landscape shaped the way I see color, texture, and place, and it continues to find its way into my work today. I’m especially drawn to the things that feel familiar—the glow of a Delta sunset, flowers growing in a garden, a favorite view, or a place filled with memories.

Working primarily in acrylics and mixed media, my paintings range from expressive Southern landscapes and florals to contemporary abstracts. While the subject may change, each piece is approached intuitively through layers of color, movement, texture, and mark-making. I love creating work that feels collected and personal rather than overly perfect—pieces that bring warmth, character, and a little bit of story into a space.

Sentiment is also an important part of my work. Many of my commissions begin with a memory, a meaningful place, a loved one, or something seemingly simple that carries a much bigger story. I consider it a privilege to translate those stories into paintings that can become part of a family’s home and, hopefully, be treasured for years to come.

Long before AK became the mark on my paintings, it was simply what my friends called me. From childhood through college, the nickname—taken from my first and middle initials,—stuck. Because so much of my work is rooted in memories, meaningful places, and the people we hold close, it feels fitting that my signature carries a little sentiment of its own.

Whether I’m painting something inspired by the Arkansas landscape or creating a piece specifically for a collector, my hope is always the same: to create art that feels beautiful, meaningful, and deeply connected to home.
